Pedro is the oldest and the wisest from our group.
He likes to stare at the distance and think a lot.
He has beautiful blue black coat and unique
white fringe and beard. He is not very photogenic but he has a strong personality.

Picachu

He is the most curious and spontaneous. Pikachu is the smallest and the fastest of the group. He looks like an angel but he is a bit cheeky. Pikachu has soft beige fleece which he tries to hide by taking all the dust baths he can.

Peter pan

Peter Pan is the youngest of the group.
He enjoys sunbathing and destroying the apple trees.
He has a medium brown or almost red coat with a beautiful blend to black on his neck and on his feet.

What is an alpaca?

The alpaca is a species of South American camelid. There are no wild alpacas. Alpacas are domesticated versions of vicuñas, South American ruminants that live high in the Andes.

What is the difference between alpacas and llamas?​

Alpacas are much smaller. Alpacas have small, blunt faces with short ears, while llamas have more-elongated faces with banana-sized ears.

Are alpacas happy to meet new people?

Yes, alpacas are very social animals. They are curious but cautious.

Are alpacas dangerous?

No, alpacas are among the most gentle of animals and are curious and friendly. But they can kick and spit if you hurt them.

Why do people breed alpacas?​

For their fiber. It's soft, durable, luxurious, silky, very warm, not prickly, and has no lanolin, which makes it hypoallergenic. Alpaca fiber is naturally water-repellent and difficult to ignite.

How long do they live?​​

Up to 20 years

What do alpacas eat?​

Mostly grass and hay. We add some alfalfa to their hay and we give some supplements and vitamins.

What do alpacas do all day?​

They spent 8 hours eating, 8 hours ruminating and 8 hours sleeping

Why do they make funny noises?​

Alpacas communicate through humming and by ear, tail positions, and body postures. They make a shrill alarm call when threatened by predators. Alpacas make a variety of sounds, including clicks and snorts, but they are best known for their humming which is soothing to both animals and humans alike.
